creative mentorship · starts January 2027

Show the parts of you that usually hide. Grow braver for it.

Shadore Circle is a 3-month creative mentorship. You trace your shadow, cut, glue and take small brave steps, with a group beside you. No art skills needed.

loving what lives in the shadow instead of hiding it

trace it then fill it with what you find
Collage: a woman in a trench coat with a head of flowers, labelled be you, bravely
Collage: a giant butterfly over a woman, labelled don't forget to fly
Collage: a silhouette at a door, open the door in cut-out letters
Collage: zebras and a child, I never lose, either I win or I learn
Collage: kittens at a window, what is yours will find you
Collage: a face wreathed in autumn leaves, creativity takes courage
Collage: a ring on a sea of blue, you are more precious than any diamond on earth
Collage: a figure on the moon, sky is not the limit
Collage: a woman with a hibiscus head, practice kindness
Collage: two torn eyes and a map, be weird, everyone else is taken
Collage: a giant orange slice, be open to whatever comes next
Collage: a road through a watch face, travel the universe
is this you?

Confident at work. Quietly doubting inside.

You've read the books and saved the posts. You want something you actually do, with your hands, with people who get it.

how a month works

Two live sessions. A few small prompts. A group beside you.

Each month has a theme and the shadow hiding behind it. You meet it twice live, then carry it into your week in small, doable ways.

week 1 · live

Opening session

A small welcome ritual, tracing the month's shadow, its big question, and the exercise you'll try.

week 3 · live

Collage session

Scissors, glue and magazines. The month's work becomes something you can hold.

2–3 times a week

Small prompts

Short nudges in the private community. Do them when they land. Skip them when life is full.

every Sunday

One question

A single reflection to close the week. Five minutes with a pen.

Courage.
Its shadow: Fear.

January's theme. You'll pick one fear and break it into three steps, from least to most scary, then climb the first one before the collage session.

After three months there's a closing ritual to mark how far you've come. Then you can stay on month by month, or stop.

what it feels like

Paper everywhere. People laughing. Something shifting.

The Circle grew out of Shadore evenings, where strangers trace their shadows and fill them with whatever they find. These are a few of those nights.

who runs the Circle

I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to hand you the scissors.

I started Shadore with evenings where people trace their shadow on a wall and fill it with cuttings, words and colour. When your hands are busy, it gets easier to say what's been sitting in the dark.

The Circle is that evening stretched over three months, with enough time to actually change something. It's creative mentorship, not therapy: you make things, you notice things, and you take one brave step at a time.

the words I live by
what doesn't evolve me doesn't involve me

before you ask

Doubts, answered

I can't draw. Is this for me?

Yes. Collage is cutting and sticking. It's about what you choose and why, not how it looks. Nobody marks your work.

Is this therapy?

No. It's creative mentorship: making, reflecting and taking small brave steps. If you're going through something heavy, the Circle can sit alongside professional support, not replace it.

I don't have much time.

Two live sessions a month and a few short prompts. The prompts and Sunday questions are optional. Do what fits your week.

Three months feels like a big commitment.

Change takes longer than one evening. At the founding price it works out at about £8 a week, and after three months you choose whether to stay.

I get awkward in groups.

You never have to share your work. Plenty of people just listen at first, and that's welcome.

I don't live in the UK.
